James Tabor, doctor del departamento de estudios religiosos de la Universidad de Carolina del Norte.

JAMES D. TABOR
RESPONSABLE DEL DEPARTAMENTO DE ESTUDIOS RELIGIOSO DE LA UNIVERSIDAD DE CHARLOTTE, CAROLINA DEL NORTE, ESTADOS UNIDOS

El Dr. James D. Tabor obtuvo su licenciatura y su maestría especializada en estudios bíblicos en la Universidad Pepperdine. Ya en la Universidad de Chicago, se doctoró también en estudios bíblicos con énfasis en los orígenes del cristianismo y del judaísmo ancestral, incluyendo su especialización en los Manuscritos del Mar Muerto, Juan el Bautista, Jesús, Jacobo (hermano de Jesús) y Pablo. Como reconocido escritor, su investigación actual gira en torno al judaísmo en la época de Jesús, los Manuscritos del Mar Muerto y otros documentos antiguos relacionados que permiten comprender mejor la historia de Jesús. Su nuevo libro “The Jesus Dynasty: The Hidden History of Jesus, His Royal Family, and the Birth of Christianity”, fue publicado por la editorial Simon & Schuster en abril de 2006. El Dr. Tabor es el editor en jefe de una nueva traducción de la Biblia titulada “The Transparent English Bible”, cuya publicación está programada para el año 2008.

ANDREY FEUERVERGER
PROFESOR DE MATEMÁTICAS Y ESTADÍSTICA DE LA UNIVERSIDAD DE TORONTO, CANADÁ

El Dr. Andrey Feuerverger se graduó con honores en matemáticas en la Universidad de McGill y posee un doctorado en estadística por la Universidad de Berkeley, California. Actualmente, es profesor de matemáticas y estadística en la Universidad de Toronto. Se le considera autor de aproximadamente 50 publicaciones de referencia científica y ha impartido cursos de estadística a todos los niveles. Además de todo ello, ha sido elegido miembro del “Instituto Matemático de Estadística”.
