Neptuno

Neptuno debe su nombre al dios romano del mar y su luna principal, Tritón, es llamada así por el tridente que cargaba el dios.

Neptuno a menudo es visto como el planeta gemelo de Urano; son más o menos del mismo tamaño, ambos son de color azul y están formados por gases similares.

Los vientos más rápidos en el sistema solar fueron registrados en Neptuno a 2.000 km/h. En algunos puntos de su órbita Neptuno pasa a Plutón y se convierte en el planeta más alejado del sol.

No hemos visto a Neptuno completar una órbita completa desde que fue descubierto en 1846, porque le lleva 165 años.
