Plutón

Plutón debe su nombre al dios griego del inframundo. Es el único planeta que fue descubierto en el siglo XX; nadie sabía que existía hasta 1930.

Esto es poco sorprendente si se piensa que es el planeta más alejado del sol, aparte de los 20 años en su órbita cuando Neptuno lo reemplaza.

Plutón es el más misterioso de todos los planetas. Se cree que está compuesto de gas e hielo, pero no podemos estar seguros porque ninguna sonda ha llegado tan lejos. Incluso el telescopio más potente de la Tierra tiene dificultades para ver algunos de los detalles de Neptuno.
